How to Connect to Windows Workstation Remotely

Remote access to Windows workstations through PuTTY is very easy. PuTTY provide secure connections, enabling users to manage their Windows systems from other computer remotely.

This allows you to securely manage processes, install programs, edit files, and control other Windows functions via PuTTY instead of standard Remote Desktop.

Download PuTTY:

If you don't have PuTTY, download it.

Open PuTTY.

In PuTTY configuration window, enter the username and password of the Windows server in the Host Name section. Select the connection type to SSH.

Save Configuration:

In the Saved Session section, enter the name and click on save to save the setting for later use.

Set up a connection:

Click Open to connect to your Windows PC.

Enter your username and password when prompted.

Securely manage Windows:

Once connection established, PuTTY will provide you command line access to your Windows computer.
